About

Hi again! I’m Noah (he/him/his). I grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina doing theater and dreaming that someday I would be the next Mandy Patinkin. Today, I’m a theatre director, actor, writer, teaching artist, and Mandy fan currently based in Boston, MA.

Back in 2005, while a YoungARTS finalist and Presidential Scholar in the Arts, I met a righteous dude named Ken Washington and (after a brief detour at Northwestern University) eventually made my way to Minneapolis to attend a program Ken started: the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program (‘10). I also got a Psychology BA from UofM (just in case).

I did some acting for a while after college (including two back-to-back seasons with The Acting Company and getting to play a dream role: “Hedwig” in Hedwig and the Angry Inch) before I was called down to Fort Worth, Texas. There, I worked five eventful years as Director of Theatre for Youth at the historic Casa Mañana Theatre. At Casa, I lead a robust education program, taught classes, directed about a million TYA and youth shows, and even treaded the boards a few times. Casa was also where I met my brilliant and Beautiful wife, Shannon Worthington. In 2019, Shannon and I moved to Boston, where I earned an MFA in Directing with a Certificate in Arts Management from Boston University (‘22).

Fun fact: I’m part of a proud tradition of Jewish dudes writing Christmas-themed musicals. Santa Claus: The Musical, which I co-wrote, is currently available through Broadway Licensing. I also love watching basketball, movies, and playing the drums.

I still hope to meet Mandy Patinkin someday…
